Begick's Nursery offers a wide variety of landscaping plants:

Acer platanoides

MICHIGAN GROWN SHADE TREES:

No other plant will give character and personality to your home like a fine shade tree.

Crimson King Maple (Acer platanoides) - Mature height 40-50'. Vigorous tree with showy, rich maroon leaf color that holds well until frost. Good shade tree for parks and lawns. Useful lining streets and drives. Easily grown in most soils. Because these trees are locally grown we are able to offer some mature trees with 1 1/2" - 4" trunk diameters. (Contact us for availability)

Malus

ORNAMENTAL TREES:

Broad Spreading Crabapple (Malus) - Japanese, pink buds, white flowers, small yellowish red fruit; Carmine, pink flower, yellowish fruit; Strawberry Parfait, red buds, pink flowers, medium yellow fruit. Whether it is for a dazzling display of springtime blossoms, an unusual shape or branching habit, the ornamental tree offers some of the most popular ingredients in good landscaping.

Dwarf White Pine

EVERGREENS:

Dwarf White Pine (Pinus strobus 'Nana') - An irregular gloge-shaped cultivar with long blue-green needles. Very slow growing to 5-7', spreading 5-6'.
Beyond retaining their color throughout the year, narrow-leaved or needle evergreens are generally very hardy and can be successfully grown over much of the United States.

Acer platanoides

DECIDUOUS SHRUBS:

Snowball Viburnum (Viburnum opulus 'Sterile') - Deciduous shrub with lobed dark green leaves that turn red in May. Produces white flower clusters that resemble snowballs in May-June. Does well in full sun or partial shade where soil is moist, but well-drained. Grows 10-15'

Flowering shrubs . . . From a decorative point of view these plants are unmatched for variety of flower forms and color, unusual foliage colors and a wide range of habits and textures. As a result, they can fulfill a number of roles in the home landscape.

ROSES AND BROAD-LEAVED EVERGREENS:

Orange Exbury Azalea - Deciduous, upright growing azalea with flame-orange flowers with ruffled petals in clusters appearing before the leaves emerge in spring. Good heat and cold tolerance. Usually grows 8-12' high and wide. Few plants rival azaleas and rhododendrons for spectacular spring bloom.

GROUND COVER AND VINES:

Sweet Autumn Clematis (Clematis paniculata) - Extremely vigorous selection which rapidly covers any structure that it is planted near. The flowers are small, white, appearing profusely in fall and sweetly scented. Easily grown, requiring no special care. The fall bloom is worth the wait. Vines serve a number of functions in the landscape. They can help break up a monotonous wall, soften the dark vertical lines of modern architecture, hide an unsightly view or provide groundcover where little else will grow.
